A dental crown, what is it?

A dental crown, which is often called cap, that is dental prosthetic treatment. Dental crowns cover whole teeth, it means that teeth are renewed from the front, left, right side and back also. Composite crowns – crowns are prepared from composite, the same material as dental filling. Crowns are affordable, but not long lasting.

Full porcelain crowns – known as ceramic, most recommended for front teeth as they look the most natural. Crowns are also long lasting, should be renewed after 15 – 20 years. It is hard to find the difference between natural teeth and full porcelain crown.

Teeth crowns Poland – procedure

The crown procedure lasts from 5 – 7 working days, except express crowns which are ready in one day! The crown procedure is divided into two visits. While first appointment dentist needs to check your tooth roots, so you will have X-rays performed. Then, if root canal treatment is not needed, the doctor will grind your teeth and prepare impressions. The doctor will provide you also with temporary crowns, so you can eat and smile normally. Temporary crowns are prepared in the dental office by the dentist. While first visit you will also choose the color or crown. You may have the same color as your existing teeth, or you may have whither crowns. While your second visit, on the 5th day, doctor fits and installs your crows.
