Liposuction in Poland is currently one of the most popular plastic surgeries. In general, it is not a difficult procedure, however, it does require thoughtful planning and a skilled surgeon, with a good eye, to achieve desired results. Liposuction in Poland aims to remove the excess fat to end up with a perfectly contoured body and smooth transition between treated and non-treated areas. By carefulness of the doctor and using the appropriate technique, which helps to avoid any irregularities, as well as proper care of the patient, help avoiding any complications, hence leading to safe liposuction surgery.
Perfect candidate for a liposuction
Perfect candidates for safe liposuction usually have fat deposited on their tummy, thighs, arms or neck. Most commonly, the fat is highly resistant to the diet and exercise regimens, as they can be for example the result of genetics. Liposuction in Poland is also typically used for tummy etching, which is a great way to uncover a patient’s inner six-pack. Liposuction fat removal can also address chubby cheeks or jowls.
The best liposuction candidates are in good overall health, physically fit and, ideally, maximum 20 pounds from their ideal weight. It is also important, that the patient should keep the weight stable. If you have a plan to lose a huge amount of weight, or even gain some pounds (for example, due to pregnancy), you should definitely wait with the surgery. Liposuction success and its durability depend on maintaining a stable weight.
Ideally, a candidate for liposuction abroad should also have elastic and firm skin. For the best results, the skin has to be able to shrink properly after the procedure. It is normal, that people lose the skin elasticity, due to the aging process. It can compromise the results. However, if the skin is in a good condition, age is not a contradiction to the liposuction surgery.
You should remember, that liposuction does not replace diet and exercise, and definitely, is not a magic trick. Liposuction abroad can help you to sculpt and contour your body. It cannot, however, change your entire shape and figure. It cannot also repair your life and get more satisfied with other aspects of your look. Although, it definitely can make you feel better about the appearance of your tummy or another area that needs to be treated.
There are many types of liposuctions. We are offering our patients all types of liposuction available in the world. Each technique has its own benefits. If you are not sure what kind of safe liposuction will be best for you, feel free to contact us.
Find a different procedure
In cases, when the patient is not healthy, the liposuction risk of complications grows. For instance, there is a higher risk of complications regarding previous medical history of immunodeficiency disorders, seizure disorders, excessive bleeding, cardiac arrhythmias or a deep vein thrombosis (blood clots located in the legs) or pulmonary emboli (blood clots located in the lungs).
If a patient is taking medication, such as aspirin, anticoagulants or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory meds (NSAIDs), there is a higher liposuction risk of excessive bleeding, which can put the whole procedure of liposuction at risk.
If you are taking medications, which restrict the metabolism of lidocaine, the anesthesia used for the procedure may put you at risk, associated with drug interactions. However, you can simply stop the medicine intake at least 2 weeks before the surgery. That way, you can ensure the safety of the liposuction.
You should remember, that liposuction is not a way to a huge and permanent weight loss and it is not a treatment for obesity. So, if that is your goal, then you will probably be disappointed with the results.
In cases of patients who have poor skin elasticity, some amount of wrinkling may appear. It is totally normal, however, it is common that patients are happy with the results anyway, as their shape changes.
What is a safe amount for fat remove?
The safe amount of fat, that can be extracted during the liposuction procedure, has been a subject of a long history debate. Nowadays, it is said that five liters are a “large volume lipo”, which can lead to potential complications. However, the average safe liposuction volume is about 4-5 liters. Patients, who experienced any complications (most frequently, fluid collection (seroma), have had a larger volume lipos. However, there seems to be a correlation between liposuction volume and patient’s BMI. Patients with a higher BMI, who had a larger volume of liposuction, had actually a lower complication rate. Simply put, more obese patients tolerate greater lipo volumes extracted. On the contrary, patients with lower BMI are more exposed to potential liposuction risks, when undergoing large liposuction.
Reducing the risks and choosing the right surgeon
If you decide to come to Poland for the safe liposuction, you need to choose the right surgeon and keep in mind that, a good candidate for cheap liposuction if:
- You have tried a healthy diet and exercise to be a constant part of your life, for a long time, but you still struggle with local fat accumulation.
- You are at normal weight or only slightly overweight, and know that liposuction is not a treatment for obesity, and is only a cosmetic procedure.
- You are in good overall health
As with any other type of surgery, you should pick a surgeon, who is qualified and skilled, abides ethical standards and a lot of experience. But most importantly, you should choose a surgeon, who puts safety first and is honest with his patients, when it comes to the safety of liposuction.
After all, you need to examine the pros and cons yourself and come to a conclusion if the benefits of the liposuction surgery are worth the possible risks.
