Scars are skin damage, which are due to acne or deep wounds. Very often scars are the cause of many complexes, which are very hard to get rid of. The best help for damaged skin, damaged psyche and better self-confidence is an effective removal of scars. But only few people know that there is such a possibility.
There are many methods of eliminating scars on the medical market. These include pharmacological methods, massages, cosmetic surgery, laser, or the use of bleaching creams on scars.
Scar removal surgery
One way to remove scars caused by damage to the skin surface is the surgical removal. This is the most invasive method, and its adverse effects are after treatment scars. Although this method seems irrational, cause it leaves marks on patient’s body, it should also be noted that traces of such a treatment are often incomparably smaller than those with which the patient had to deal with so far.
The most famous and probably one of the most effective methods of gradual removal of scars is laser therapy. For this purpose, the Fraxel laser is used, which reaches the deep layers of the skin by removing damaged cells and causing the regeneration of the epidermis. In contrast to many other treatments, the laser is directed at the damaged areas. The laser beam reaches both the subcutaneous tissue and dermis. The epidermis does not flake, and the skin remains in the same state as before the surgery. With this procedure, skin is not excessively damaged and the patient may return to normal functioning after about 5 – 7 days. The only side effect is a slight reddening of the skin.
Fraxel Laser is often used to treat acne scars or discoloration of skin. This method can be used on virtually all areas of the body. However, if the scars are deep, just one treatment may not be enough. In such cases a number of treatments is recommended with intervals of about two weeks between the procedures.
Another advantage of this method is that the treatment does not take too much time, approximately 10 – 45 min. depending on the type and location of scar tissue that is treated.
Fraxel Laser is designed to stimulate the deeper layers of skin to produce collagen, so the effect can be seen 2-3 months after the surgery, but the best effect is noticeable after a period of about a year.
Another effective method of smoothing the skin is microdermabrasion or chemical scrubs. Such treatments are less invasive and recovery takes about 1-2 days. It involves grinding the top layer of the epidermis. The treatment is much cheaper, but for the effects to be seen it should be performed several times. It is not, however, an ideal solution for people who are struggling with deep wounds. It is particularly recommended to those who struggle with spots and small scars. On the second day after surgery you can return to daily activities.
Creams and massage
Other, a less invasive method is the use of specially prepared creams. Creams can be purchased at most pharmacies. However, their prices are high and the effectiveness is not always as expected.
